Example

In this example I use tsEdit to digitize data from a graph that was scanned in as a bitmap.

File>New

File>Import Bitmap Image

The following prompt comes up:

to which I select "Yes"

Follow the instruction in the Remap Axes window:

Click on the origin of the imported graph, and enter a value of 0 in the adjacent field;

Click on the value of 100 on the imported graph and enter 100 in the adjacent field;

Click on the origin (for Y this time) and enter 0;

Click on the maximum value on the Y-axis and enter 35 in the adjacent field.

Click OK

The coordinate axes are now the same for the bitmap image and the tsEdit graph:

Click the Change Interpolation Method button to use linear interpolation.

From the menu bar selected Edit>Add Knots. Then click on the graph to add points at the location of the data on the imported image.

Save the data as a tsEdit file File>Save

Export interpolated values to a text file: File>Export Interpolated>To Text File.
