Why have journalists tended to give favorable news coverage to prosecutors? How might the public benefit if the news coverage becomes more thorough and critical? In terms of other issues that might be covered by local journalists (school board hearings, zoning decisions, the city council, the mayor’s office, the crime beat etc), how much priority should be placed on the office of the prosecutor? Why?
