Questions: (intended as prompts for those students writing an insight)

1.       Does multiculturalism enhance the American identity or detract from it? 

2.       Who should be considered an American? (Hint: examples --someone living here (legally and/or illegally), someone who has been born on American soil even if to an undocumented immigrant (current law), someone born to parents who were legally Americans, someone who looks like the people who founded our nation, etc)  Of the various immigrant stories you read, are there some of the immigrants that should be considered Americans and others not?  Explain your answer.
