1. Describe
the evidence that partisanship has increased in recent years. What appear to
be the significant areas of division regarding values? Are there still
similarities in values between the adherents to the different parties? If so,
what are these?
2. Some experts on American voters claim there is an emerging Democratic majority that will become more pronounced over the years. What evidence suggests that this view is correct? Is there counter-evidence as well? If so, what?
3. Examine the methodology section of the poll. Describe the aspects of the methodology which demonstrate the Pew Foundation's commitment to get an accurate and fair picture of the partisan divide. Despite the serious attempt at accuracy, are there aspects of the methodology which might leave a reader justifiably skeptical whether the results of the poll reflect the views of American voters?
