Adoption

Approximately 100,000 children are adopted each year

The adoption process can be time consuming, expensive, and stressful. The purpose of adoption assistance programs is to provide:

equality and fairness
social contribution
recruitment and retention

Amount covered: The range is usually between $1,000-$10,000. Most companies offer less than $5,000 per employee per adoption. There are usually age limitations and limitations on the amount of adoptions an employer will offer reimbursement.

Legal/court fees
Medical/hospital services
Transportation fees associated with the adoption
Temporary foster care charges
