3) According to Barry et al., why is it important to study child rearing attitudes in general and among different ethnic groups? Describe the constructs of self-construal, ethnic identity and acculturation.

4) Summarize the Barry study (purpose, method, results). How do the results of this study contribute to our understanding of East Asian families and children?

5) Summarize Murray's argument for the need to invest in Social Justice Education. What steps does she suggest schools undertake to incorporate social justice?
