Your
final
case study paper is due on 12/5/12 (last day of class. To see an
example paper by a previous student check out
http://www.csus.edu/wac/journal/2012/Martinez.html
The paper does not include discussion of the interview itself
for privacy reasons, but it is otherwise a fine example of
what the case study paper should look like.

8/27/12
Hello and welcome.
Here are a couple of things to keep in mind as we begin the course:
-
Please
take a little time to browse through the course web pages this week.
You'll likely find some helpful information about course
assignments
and lecture outlines. I do not suggest that you print off the entire
web site! Instead, print off those pages that have information you
need in written form (i.e., assignment handouts, lecture outlines).
There are a lot of pages for me to take care of, so if any of the
links are missing, or if you are having difficulties,
let
me know.
-
You
can keep on track in the course and assignment due dates by accessing
the
course
schedule.
Please consult the schedule for
your respective section for due dates, lecture outlines, and
assignment handouts. The course schedule will be updated
periodically, so instead of printing it out, be sure to to check this announcements page and the course
schedule weekly for updates.
-
There are
two
required texts for this class, as well as supplementary
readings. To access some of the supplementary readings and handouts,
you will need a password, so please see me if you missed this during
class.
-
Lecture
outlines
and assignment handouts are
posted to the course schedule as I revise and develop them (i.e., throughout the semester). I
will typically post one or two outlines at a time on the course
schedule, so if you find that
a particular lecture isn't yet linked, it usually means I haven't
posted it yet.
