Questions on the study guide are similar to questions you can expect on the first midterm exam.

Weekend field trip:

Our field trip will leave from Parking structure #3 at 8:00 A.M. Friday morning.  Please arrive early to help load the vehicles.

We will return at about 6:00 Sunday evening.  Your assignment for the weekend will be to take notes at our stops.  I will collect field notebooks when we return.

I will pass out a copy of the field trip guide.  Here is an extra copy if you need it:

Lab this week:

In lab this week each group will present the results of their group stratigraphy project.  We will take turns going between posters and listening to the presenters.  You will be responsible for this information about each local unit:

  • What is the age?

  • What are the common lithologies?

  • Where is it exposed?

  • How thick is it?

  • What is the economic value (if any)?
