  Background

I recently retired after 25 years as a professor at California State University, Sacramento.  When I retired I had just finished serving six years as Chair of the Geology Department, and I was a successful teacher, researcher and mentor.

I love teaching, and I want to make a difference.  I plan to teach third or fourth grade, because this is a critical developmental stage for children.  I hope to show kids that learning is fun, and challenge them learn, grow and be their best.
