Teaching statement

I try to tailor my teaching to each student's needs. Teachers must be adaptive, because students have different backgrounds and different learning styles. I use active learning techniques like think-pair-share and group work, and present material in different formats so that every student can access the important concepts. I lean toward a constructivist teaching philosophy, and my classes usually look a little busy from the outside. My goal is to make learning fun. The best compliment is a student who wants to come to school.
