Objectives

Upon completion of this unit students should be able to:

  • Describe evidence for continental drift theory

  • Explain how paleomagnetism is used to date ocean crust

  • Explain apparent polar wandering

  • Describe plate motion at the mid-oceanic ridge

  • Describe plate motion at divergent, transform and convergent plate margins

  • Discuss how the California tectonic margin has changed with time

If you turn in test corrections by Monday Dec. 12, I will add them to your score for test #3.

 

Homework for week #15

If you take the on-line quiz for Chapter 19, I will count it as extra credit.  It can replace a missing quiz from earlier in the semester, or add to your quiz average if you have already completed all of the quizzes.  You can find the quiz by following this link:
