Homework consists of the followings:

• Workbook: Check the due dates on the Schedule!
• Reading "Grammar" section in the textbook
• Studying vocabulary for Vocabulary quizzes, and check-up questions for Review Quiz.
• Performing "Model Conversation"
• Listening to audio files on CD or WebCT
• Doing "Practice" in the textbook
• Previewing and Reviewing the material on WebCT.

In each lesson, there will be a Vocabulary quiz and a Review Quiz. There will be three major tests: Test 1 (L1-2), Test 2 (L3-4), and Test 3/Final (L5-6). Do a little homework EVERY day.

This Homework List is subject to change and will not be complete at the start of the semester.

  Send a group Discussion message to all members of the class. The Topic is Introductions, and the subject is "kon'nichiwa." The message from you will tell the class about a hobby of yours AND reason(s) why you are taking Japanese. This can be in English. If you are Section 3 (MW-12-12:50, TuTr-12-1:15), use Section 3. If you are Section 4 (MW-2:00 -2:50, TuTr-1:30-2:45), use Section 4.

• ＊ Hiragana Game "Hiragana Challenge" (Try at least once!)

• ＊ Take "Hiragana Recognition Exercise" This quiz is posted until Monday, September 22, 11:59 pm. Also take Sound Discrimination Exericses. This quiz is posted until Monday, October 6, 11:59 pm. Until the due date, you have unlimited access to take this quiz. Your highest score will be recorded.
