Thank you for my colleagues in the Asian Studies Program and the Department of Foreign Languages. I also thank Dean Edward Inch and Chair Bernice Bass de Martinez for their guidance and support.

My special thanks goes to my team members:

  • Prof. Pat Chirapravati, the Asian Studies - Thank you, Pat, for your collaborative spirit and energy!!! You always take care of all of us in the Asian Studies Program selflessly. That's why we want to work with you!
  • Dr. Vanessa Arnaud, the Honors program - Since 2003, you have been an incredible partner - whatever we do together, we always succeed because you are creative, intelligent, and simply amazing.
  • Archivist Julie Thomas, Special Collections - I am always impressed with your passion and a sense of justice to preserve local history. Yes, we need to pass on local history to many generations to come
  • Ms. Janis Silvers, Study Abroad - It is my true pleasure to work with you because we share the same values that study abroad program has a life-long impact. I am glad to work with you for ACIP, too.
  • Omicron Chapter Phi Beta Delta team - It is pleasure to work with faculty members in various departments who want to recognize international achievement of students, faculty members, and staff on campus.
  • The CCE International program headed by Mr. Paulo Pinto - I enjoy working with this group because they are extremely efficient and effective! You know how to get things done!
  • I want to thank current Japan Club officers and active members as well as my students in Japanese language and culture classes. I am also very thankful to my former students – Brian Berry, Chis Lam, Sachiko Kobayashi, Aristomelia Vidal, Christopher Bouget, and more who want to help me even after their graduation at any time.
  • Lastly, my trusted and incredible friend/family: Andrea, Phil, and Bijan.
