RANDY L. PHELPS

During the Fall of 2000 through the Spring of 2001, the small front yard was landscaped.   Here are the results:

The northwest side of the front yard was landscaped, after the removal of a mature camellia tree.  In its place, a Chinese elm tree (left in both pictures below) was planted.  Along the fence, a fruiting olive tree was also planted (center, below).  Ground cover, consisting primarily of purple and white flowered lantana and purple flowering fan plants, cover the front portion of the yard, while purple-flowering potato bushes and passion vines line the fence.  Further along the house (not shown), are four Italian cypress trees that form a barrier between the bakery and the front porch.

Here is the north view of the front yard, toward the bakery located next door:

On the southwest side of the front yard, a smaller camellia tree was removed.  In its place, a Washington navel orange tree was planted (shown with blossoms, below).  Farther to the east (far left, below) is a dwarf Pixie mandarin tree, while a young Zutano avocado (not visible in the photograph below) rounds out the collection of trees in this portion of the yard.   Yellow-flowering sweet broom bushes, rosemary bushes, and purple bougainvillea filll in the landscape.

Here is the view of the frontyard, toward the neighboring house located toward the south:
