Linear Algebra and its applications by David Lay
Addison Wesley, 4th edition, Year Published: 2012

Course Outline:

We will closely follow the text and cover chapters 1-5 and chapter 7. There will be three midterm tests and a COMPREHENSIVE FINAL examination

Homework:

Problems from the exercises section in the text will be suggested for practice. Assigned homework will be collected periodically. There will also be periodical quizzes.

Examinations:

  • Test 1 on 02/27/14 (Thursday)
  • Test 2 on 04/03/14 (Thursday)
  • Test 3 on 05/01/14 (Thursday)
  • Final Exam on 05/20/14 from 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

  • NO MAKE-UP TESTS WILL BE GIVEN
  • LATE HOMEWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

Drops:

You may drop this course without penalty until Friday, March 7, 2014. For procedural details refer to the DROP POLICY document of the CSUS Math and Statistics department. On or after March 10, 2014, you must be passing this course with a grade of C or better AND MUST have a written medical excuse from a licensed M.D. in order to drop this course without penalty.

Attendance:

Regular attendance is important. Experience shows that attendance is highly correlated with good performance in the course.
