Assignment 2
From Storyboard to Screen

Student Example

Take any of the scenes linked here, and create an image for every shot on a storyboard. These images do not have to be well drawn, but have to replicate the camera angles. You may also use screen grabs from the original movies. The result should be framing that is almost identical to the original. The settings and lighting do not have to match, but the framing of your "actors" has to be precise.

Record this series of shots with your cameras and edit them together in the sequence of the scene.

Since you don't have access to lighting equipment or external mics--I will not be grading you on those elements. Try to get as much lighting on your subject, though so we can see the framing. Be creative with practicals.

For scenes with camera moves you can use hand held camera work--it just has to mimic the shot onscreen as much as possible.

Do not rush this process, this should be quite a challenge.
