ANTH 002 :: Introduction to Cultural Anthropology

Catalog Description: 

The character and nature of culture and social behavior as developed through anthropological study of people. Introduction to major [cultural anthropological] concepts and theoretical assumptions. 3 units.  This course is satisfies Area D 1-a of the CSUS GE requirements.

Number of Units:  3

Students will need an electronic mail account and computer access to the Web. All CSUS students enrolled in one or more units can create a SacLink account for electronic mail and Internet services. Although a home computer with a high speed modem running Netscape or Internet Explorer would be beneficial, students can use the Web from one of the campus student labs. Windows compatible Pentium running Windows 98 or XP, or Macintosh compatible with System 10 (OS X)
  • 128 MB RAM

Word processing skills
Online class participation on the Web assignments and electronic discussions
