1. Essay two talks about her own
point of view in her essay, Greenfield doesn't generalize her argument for
everyone.
2 She also compromises both
sides of the argument.
3. Klein's thesis is not
supported consistently throughout the essay either. Nor does he also compromise
with the other side.
4. She makes her point clear by
talking in the first person.
5. She explains how she changed
her view about animal testing and how she views the topic now.
6. But she also mentions that
other people will have different opinions on the subject matter and doesn't
critique people who have a different opinion from hers.
7. Kline makes it seems as if
animal testing was not too much of a big deal and that testing is worth it,
"Life is often cruel both to animals and human beings" he writes.
8. Greenfield supports her
thesis through out the essay.
9. She argues that "the
animal-rights people have begun to get to her."
10. She says that it is
important to find cures for sicknesses, but only to a certain limit she feels
animal testing is necessary.
11. After reading Kushman's
article I have concluded that Kushman felt that Walt Disney did not succeed in
their attempt to "reconcile western culture's with 1990s
sensibilities", to a certain point I agree with Kushman's conclusion of the
movie.
12. I do feel that the attempt
at the multiracial cast was a success, because it does open the vision of this
story being met for anyone.
13. The purpose is to look
beyond these difference, and if you can't than just remember that this is all
make-believe.
14. One of these points is where
the "prince insists that he wants to marry someone who he can talk to and
share his life with", and then Kushman comments on the ballroom full of
beautiful women that are willing to marry just because he is the prince.
15. The prince requests from his
valet Lionel to speed the introductions up in order for this to get finished as
soon as possible.
16. It is then that everyone in
the ballroom is drawn to the top of the stairs where a late arriving guest
stands.
17. Which brings up another
Kushman point, that is Cinderella does not seem able to attend the ball without
the help of "some outside force."
18. Who is to say that we don't
have something special within us that allows magical things to happen around us.
19. As Kushman states it is as
if that when the magic expires at midnight it seems as if she has lost the power
within her.
20. If Disney had started with a
whole new script than I think it would have been easier for them to change the
contradictions that Kushman comments on in his article.
