Nancy Zimmermann, translator, attended Deerfield Academy and Wesleyan University. Her interest in Spanish began at Deerfield, where she spent a year studying in Barcelona. She is currently working in the areas of neuroscience and philosophy. Ms. Zimmermann devotes much of her time to public service activities; in 1994, she volunteered to assist in a community health project in Brazil. She believes that her experiences abroad are what have prompted her to become actively involved in promoting cross-cultural understanding, particularly in the arts. She resides in Westchester County, New York. |
