On 21 May 1992, the tea group of Mme. Soritsu Nakatani performed a tea cermony to Latin liturgical music performed by the UC Davis Early Music Ensemble at St. Francis Church, Sacramento, California. Participants (l eft to right): Ms. Shinobu Tanaka, Mme. Soyo Nakagawa, Mme. Soko Kakigi, Mme. Soritsu Nakatai and Mme. Sowa Goen. Also pictured is Ms. Yoi Tanaka. Major sponsors for the performance were the Office of the President, Donald R. Gerth, California State University, Sacramento, Nordstrom, the Merchants Bank, and Mount Eden Vineyards.
