For the following
topic,
write a short essay
in response to the news article linked below.
People believe in lots of
weird stuff. This semester we've discussed the
difference between science and pseudoscience, and
some of the ways that people can make errors in
reasoning. Below
is a link to a web site that describes a common
pseudoscience topic. For this essay, read the
material at the site, and describe why this topic is
pseudoscientific rather than
really scientific. You will find it helpful to go
back to the notes from the first week of
class and review the criteria for what makes something
scientific.
