Fulbright Scholar Program
Jamie Kneitel is a Professor of Ecology at California State University, Sacramento. He was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to pursue the project “A Synthesis of Seasonal Wetland Ecology in Mediterranean Climate Regions” at the University of Haifa. His research aims to understand the effects of environmental variation on species diversity and ecosystem functioning in seasonal wetlands. Dr. Kneitel will address this in Israel for comparison to California wetlands and synthesize the current work from each of the Mediterranean climate regions. He will also be teaching a graduate level Ecology course.
The Fulbright Scholar Program offers U.S. faculty and administrators grants to lecture, conduct research, or participate in seminars around the world. The program is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
