I don’t see the normal options on my CMS HR/SA Access menu. There are only a few options available like Self Service and Recruitment. What’s going on?
This typically means something has gone wrong and you’re seeing “guest” level access instead of your regular security. Please try clearing your browser cache, shutting down all browser windows and opening a fresh one to test your access again. These steps should resolve the issue but if you need help executing them or find that you’re still experiencing trouble, please contact the Service Desk.
I’m trying to use my CMS HR/SA access but my menu appears to be gone. What should I do?
This typically means the menu has actually just been minimized. If you can see the “Menu” title bar but no links beneath it, try clicking the icon in the right corner of the title bar to expand your menu.
I’m trying to print some information out of CMS but the content is getting cut off and I’m only receiving the first page. What should I do?
You will need to adjust your internet browser's print settings. Typically this issue can be resolved by switching the browser settings to say that you want to print the “selected frame”. Where you would find this particular option is different depending upon what internet browser and version you’re using. If you need assistance with this process, please contact the Service Desk.
I’m trying to run a print process and I see the process in the Process Monitor but it has been in “queued” status for an unusually long time. What should I do?
The number of processes that can run on each available server at one time is limited. If you submit a process and it remains in “queued” status for a long time that probably just means that many people are submitting jobs at the same time and the print queue is backed up. This situation will normally clear itself up after a while if you wait. However, if your wait time seems inordinately excessive, you can contact the Service Desk and we'll have our System Administrators look into the situation to determine whether there might be some kind of technical problem.
I need access to AdAstra but I don’t see that option available on the CMS Security forms. What should I do?
Access to AdAstra is handled by Space Management so you should contact their office directly to find out how to get the access you need.
I’m looking at the Process Monitor but I don’t see the process I just submitted running in the Process List. What’s going on?
Your process has probably been submitted but the fields above the process list may be limiting what displays on your screen. Check these fields and make them as generic as possible to avoid excluding your process. For example, if a Server Name is specified you can try removing it to see processes running on all servers.
I ran a process but once I click Details and View/Log Trace from the Process Monitor, I don’t see the PDF file I was expecting. What’s going on?
If the PDF doesn’t appear it means that the file was not generated for some reason. First, go back to the Process Monitor to confirm that your report didn’t generate and error (i.e., confirm that you received a Run Status/Distribution Status of “Success/Posted”). Next review your Run Control settings to try and determine what might have prevented generation of the PDF file. For example, check to see that no key information appears to be missing. Also check to see that the criteria you entered isn’t so specific that it might be excluding the record you’re looking for.
