Video Region and Caption Box Editing Instructions

When you playback the .rt.smil file you are looking at whether the video appears centered and is not cut off on the screen and for the captions to appear directly below the video. If this is not the case, you will need to edit the .rt.smil file to ensure video and captions appear correctly on screen:

  • As there is no predetermined height and width for both the <root-layout> and <region height>, a common one that usually works is 600 x 600. Keep in mind, this is a general assumption and does not apply to all videos.
