The university email service, Exchange, will be down intermittently for maintenance on Saturday, Feb 25th between 12:01 a.m. and 2 a.m.
Some major systems will unavailable for 5 1/2 hours beginning Friday Feb. 10th at 10 p.m. through Saturday, Feb. 11th at 3:30 a.m. Normally we do major maintenance between terms.
We have determined that our recent computer systems’ problems were caused by configuration errors with our central file storage system. In order to correct those errors, we will shut down most of our central computer systems from midnight tonight until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, Thursday, Feb. 14th.
Information Resources and Technology is pleased to announce the second annual Spring IT Forum, scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in Library 11. This semester’s forum features a timely discussion on “Optimizing Our Use of Data for Fostering Student Success.”
The second IRT sponsored IT Forum on Workplace Automation & Efficiency is scheduled for Wednesday, April 4th, 3:00-4:30, Foothill Suite, University Union.
Beginning 10:00 pm on Friday, April 12 and ending at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13 the university data center will be performing maintenance on the campus storage system. Some services such as email, shared departmental and personal folders, and Print Smart will experience intermittent 2-3 minutes delays during this time.
Beginning the week of April 22, 2013, we will be implementing a new program to patch University computers through an automated campus-wide approach. This will help us to provide the best possible protection of our university network, computers, and data.

On May 24th current FTP and Telnet services was replaced with more secure services. This may affect you if you upload files to a campus web page, post video files to the media server, or connect directly to campus servers to complete other tasks.

In order to perform yearly planned maintenance on key systems, IRT is planning a shutdown of the Sac State data center during the winter break. This outage will affect most campus technology services.
Beginning Jan. 7th, Sacramento State will require use of the SafeConnect tool for all university and auxiliary staff who connect to the campus wireless network with a laptop computer (either university-owned or personal).

As of June 30th, 2010, SacLink Dial-in modem pool services for internet access have been discontinued.
Some users are reporting a problem when IE10 us used with CMS or Sac Send.
