 Systems Support

The Systems Support staff is responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of computer systems that provide services to the campus community.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Hardware configuration and assembly
  • Operating system and application software setup
  • Backup strategy planning and implementation
  • Applying software updates and security patches
  • Hardware maintenance and repair
  • System and data security planning and implementation
  • System performance monitoring
  • Investigating, diagnosing and resolving system abnormalities
  • Assisting campus IT personnel to integrate their systems with the University infrastructure
  • New technology evaluation and interoperability testing
  • Documentation
