Systems Support
The Systems Support staff is responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of computer systems that provide services to the campus community.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Hardware configuration and assembly
- Operating system and application software setup
- Backup strategy planning and implementation
- Applying software updates and security patches
- Hardware maintenance and repair
- System and data security planning and implementation
- System performance monitoring
- Investigating, diagnosing and resolving system abnormalities
- Assisting campus IT personnel to integrate their systems with the University infrastructure
- New technology evaluation and interoperability testing
- Documentation
