Human Resources

CMS Human Resources is a part of a suite of Oracle PeopleSoft enterprise applications that assist the University in the every day business needs of the campus.  The CMS systems allow the campus to complete day to day transaction operations, send and receive summary data information to the CSU Chancellor's office, State Controller's office and other state reporting agencies and integrate with the other campus applications. CMS HR is comprised of the following modules:  Benefits, Position Management, Workforce Management, Absence Management, LCD/Commitment Accounting, Recruitment, Temporary Faculty, and Time & Labor.  This system supports the campus Human Resources functional areas, along with campus wide self service and administrative functions such as:

  • Payroll and Compensation self service
  • Benefits self service
  • Employee Personal self service
  • Request to Advertise
  • Hire Temporary Faculty (entry / reporting)
  • Hire Student Assistants (entry / reporting)
  • Time and Labor (entry / reporting)
  • Visitor Parking request
