Opportunities
Training: New Student Lab Assistant must attend a training session of approximately two hours which they will be paid for. After this training session, Lab Assistants are able to start working in the labs. Periodic trainings will continue during the first semester of work in the form of WebCT trainings. Lab Assistants will receive periodic performance reviews which can lead to pay increases and possible promotions.
Pay Raises and Promotion
Lab Assistants: All IRT Lab Assistants become eligible for a performance evaluation after completing a minimum of 300 hours of work. If their performance reviews and previous evaluations show a mastery of necessary job skills and consistently fulfilling the duties of their position, they may receive a pay raise or a promotion.
Lab Supervisors: All IRT Lab Supervisors, Senior Lab Supervisors, and Technical Lab Assistants become eligible for a performance evaluation after completing a minimum of 300 hours of work. The Lab Manager will send an email request for lab assistants and supervisors to submit evaluations. In accordance with the evaluations and reviews received, a pay raise or a promotion may be granted.
FSRC Consultants: All applicants for these positions need to have at least one full semester experience as a IRT Lab Assistant. All FSRC Consultants and FSRC Technical Assistants are eligible for evaluation after completing a minimum of 300 hours of work. The CCMS Lab Manager will send an email request for supervisors and other consultants to submit performance evaluations. In accordance with the evaluations and reviews received, a pay raise or a promotion may be granted.
