Services

Remote Access -- Students, faculty and staff have access to 270 dial-in modem lines. Using their SacLink account name and password as network authentication, they have access to campus resources, as well as full Internet resources.

Software -- A collection of links to software information and resources available to Sacramento State faculty, staff and students.  

Help Desk -- Located in the Academic Information Resources Center room 2005, consultants are available to assist with questions or problems related to Sacramento State computing resources and services.

Faculty and Staff Resource Center --  Located in AIRC 3012, the Faculty and Staff Resource Center provides faculty and staff access to various computing resources.

Computing Resources

Different University colleges and program centers manage computer resources. The following is a description of the resources managed by IRT.

SacLink is the University's authentication system.  SacLink accounts are available to all Sacramento State applicants, students, faculty, and staff.  A SacLink account is required for remote access to Sacramento State computing resources, wireless and open connection network access on campus, access to university labs, Web based courses (WebCT), library databases, ResLink, and downloading licensed software. Additional services are included with the creation of a SacLink account.* These services include e-mail, Web page hosting, public directory listing, Web accessible file storage, and dial-in Internet access. The SacLink Web address is https://www.saclink.csus.edu.

*Note: Not all services are available to Sacramento State applicants.

Computing Labs

University Labs are located throughout campus. These labs are open to all currently enrolled Sacramento State students, faculty, and staff. The hours are posted outside each lab as well as online at http://www.csus.edu/uccs/labs/
