Kristie began work at the ISR at the beginning of 2006. She holds a Bachelors in Science degree from California State University, Sacramento and worked for a number of years in the non-profit sector focused on feminist causes and social justice issues. Kristie has a long history of working with both local and international social advocacy organizations and has become increasingly interested in the relationship between rising globalization and contemporary social movements. Kristie is in her final year in the CSU Sociology Masters Program. She is applying her research and analytical skills toward writing and designing her thesis project which examines the Fair Trade movement in Sacramento as a form of counter-hegemonic globalization.
