Sandie Sutherland

Sandie Sutherland received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Sacramento in 1989. Her academic background and training is in applied research methods, data collection, statistical analysis and the presentation and interpretation of social science data. She has been with ISR since its inception in 1989. During this time, Ms. Sutherland has participated in over 50 survey and evaluation research efforts, including surveys of the general public and specialized populations. This research has involved a wide variety of data collection methods, including mail surveys, telephone surveys, face-to-face interviews, and self-administered questionnaires. As a Research Specialist for ISR, Ms. Sutherland is responsible for carrying out the methodological processes specified by project Principal Investigators, including dimensioning and operationalizing concepts, sampling, and developing observational instruments and questionnaires.
