According to CSU Executive Order 665, students who do not pass the English Placement Test (EPT) and/or the Entry Level Math (ELM) exam are required to enroll in the appropriate preparatory courses in their first semester of enrollment. ELM and EPT placement is determined by your score on the exam. All preparatory courses must be completed within the students' first year of enrollment; otherwise, the students will not be allowed to continue at the University, resulting in Administrative Disqualification.
In addition, the student should take care in selecting the appropriate General Education Courses while they are strengthening their math and English Skills. We recommend that the student take only advised GE courses.
