Tiger
Chung Lo, Tokay High School - 11th grade
What makes California not like anywhere else? The people in California define California. California has been good for a lot
of people.
California is the place that has everything. When I say everything, I mean that California has the technology; the varied
surroundings such as the mountains, and the hills, the beaches, the valleys, the deserts, and the sky of many colors; and the
people who com from all over the world to live here.
Like many Californians, Tiger, the boy in the picture, has many cultures in his background. Tiger is American, Hmong, and
Vietnamese. His mom is Hmong and American, and his dad is Vietnamese and American. With his varied background, Tiger
represents the diversity that is California.
California: “It ain’t like anywhere else.”
