Playwrights’ Theatre
The Playwrights' Theatre, located in Shasta Hall, is a 152 seat octagonal shaped flexible space theatre that will be configured in a three-quarter thrust staging arrangement. It is equipped with full lighting grid and catwalk, computer lighting board, excellent sound system and direct access to the scene shop. - 20' wide / 20' deep - nine lighting areas - seating: 150. (All productions will be considered for this space.)
University Theatre
The University Theatre, located in Shasta Hall, is a 423 seat proscenium theatre. The stage is forty feet wide by thirty-four feet deep with ample wing space. It is equipped with a thirty-one line fly system, a new state-of-the-art computer lighting board, and an excellent sound system. The stage has direct access to the scene shop. - 30' wide / 20' deep - nine lighting areas. (Only large cast productions will be considered for this space.)
Studio Theatre
The Studio Theatre is a 60 seat proscenium theatre located near the center
of the campus; between the Library and Capistrano Hall. The dimensions
are 20' wide, 10' deep, and
9’ high entrance (sloped ceiling) with six lighting areas. Some set
restrictions apply in the Studio Theatre. All physical set pieces must
fit through a 3' X 6.5' doorway. (Mostly small cast
productions will be considered for this space.)
One Act Venue Information
With the growth of the festival, special or last minute requests may not be possible. Staging for black box theatre is recommended.
