The college engages the world, emphasizing critical thinking and writing skills, the application of information technology, and issues of ethics and social justice. SSIS is home to 14 vibrant departments and programs, ranging from Anthropology and Economics to Asian Studies, as well as the Center for California Studies and Center for Collaborative Policy.
