Grant Union High School MESA Student Awarded Ron Brown Scholarship: Charday Adams, a Grant Union High School MESA Senior, has been nationally recognized as a Ron Brown Scholar. Ms. Adams is one of 12 Ron Brown Scholars selected from 6,000 applicants for the scholarship award. Grant Union High School is in the Twin Rivers Unified School District.

Franklin High School MESA Student Awarded Nordstrom Scholarship: Chelsea Crowder, a Franklin High School MESA Senior, was presented with a $10,000 scholarship from the Nordstrom's Diversity Affairs Director, Leslie Aoyama, on October 2, 2009.
