DIRECTOR'S CORNER

Finals and the end of the semester are fast approaching. It's time to finish up all those class projects, study for finals and then do something relaxing (a float trip down the Sacramento, a picnic up in the Sierras, maybe just a trip to the local Home Depot to get some flowers to plant in the yard) to unwind from the hard work this semester. Also, it's not too soon to begin thinking about what you want to take for electives in the Fall, and what topics and subjects you might want to consider in your thesis research. Remember to enroll in PPA 500 or IA 500 if you have completed most of your coursework and are soon to be working on your thesis. We have some great electives this coming Fall, including: Environmental Policy & Administration; Health Policy & Administration; Urban Policy and Economics; and Land Use and Planning.

One last suggestion for staying cool in Sacramento's summer heat. Find a nice air conditioned room with a computer and log-on to our web pages for PPA and IA. We've added some interesting bells and whistles, and lots of helpful information. Check us out at http://www.csus.edu/mppa/ and http://www.csus.edu/ia/.

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
