CAREER OPPORTUNITIESASSISTANT DIRECTOR (Academic Coordinator) INSTITUTE OF URBAN AND REGIONAL DEVELOPMENTWork with Director of Institute of Urban and Regional Development, University of California Berkeley. Create, develop and implement a variety of collaborative initiatives involving faculty, students, public agencies, non-profit, business and community leaders in policy research, planning, design, community development. Includes the University-Oakland Metropolitan Forum, a nationally recognized university-community partnership in operation for over a decade; a newly formed alliance with the City of Berkeley; and a variety of regional and state projects. Develop working relationships with faculty and community leaders; identify new directions for IURD; explore avenues for funding, prepare grant proposals; design and manage research and collaborative projects; supervise graduate student researchers; conduct research, analyses, and evaluations; prepare reports, articles; make presentations; negotiate contracts.
People with many, though not all, qualifications or experience should nonetheless apply. Pay commensurate with experience and other qualifications.
