Rob Wassmer, Graduate Program in Public Policy and Administration, was invited by the California Senate's Office of Research (SOR) to present his co-authored study [with Chuck Anders (PPA 1997, Executive Fellow 1997-98)] on "Causes of Fiscal Stress in California's Counties" to state policymakers in the capital building on December 1. The SOR invited Wassmer back to present a December 16 seminar to interested capital staff on interpreting statistical regression analysis.
Cristy Jensen, PPA, joined Dean Joe Sheley and Provost Jolene Koester on a panel at the American Association of Higher Education Conference on Faculty Roles and Rewards in January. The panel title was Faculty Engaged in a Changing Community. She discussed her project work in Russia, emphasizing the contributions of students and alumni sharing their expertise and experience with Russian practitioners and graduate students. She will also be a participant at the national AAHE conference in Washington DC speaking about the CSU baccalaureate in the 21st Century.
On February 19, she was the featured speaker at the American Association of University Women monthly meeting. Talking about the University Faculty Member as Change Agent.
