Gwenda (Copeland) Olsen, MPPA 1997

Here is a message from Gwenda:

Hi all!
I've virtually lost contact with you all when I gave up my career (and a pending analyst promotion) to pursue my heart. My (now) husband had a required change of station as a military officer, and I followed. The frequent change of stations for military personnel has truly put my career at a stand still. On the east coast, we weren't centrally located enough to continue my career goals, but this provided me with lots of time to tour the country and Europe (military style). My life is even more full of travel now that my husband left the military. We've settled in Oregon, and he now works for the airlines. He's based out of the Bay Area, so we are often found cruising the San Francisco Bay on days off or when he's "on-call". This helps get over the dreary winters here. Now, I am excited about and hoping to become one of Oregon State's newest board members on a state commission. In the mean time, I'm a special education substitute teacher. We will see where my career is in a couple of more years. We're looking forward to starting a family this year, and I was pleasantly surprised with regular emails last year from Tatiana (Kaluga Region, Russia). It was such a pleasure to communicate with her, but now her email is gone.

Take care all.
Gwen
