SEIU's Internship Program is designed to provide the opportunity for Public
Policy graduate students and Law students interested in public policy,
to work in a challenging professional position in the labor movement,
which provides practical learning, a salary and, in some cases, academic
credit. Full and part-time positions are available.
To apply, send a cover letter including: 1) a statement as to why you
are interested in a Public Policy internship; 2) when you are available
to intern, along with your resume and a short writing sample (no longer
than 2 pages).
Requirements
Full-time student who are currently enrolled in an accredited graduate
or law school programs may apply for an internship with SEIU. Prior to
acceptance in the intern program, students must submit proof of enrollment
and maintain a C+ grade point average or better.
Preferences
SEIU seeks interns who have a commitment to progressive social change.

The California Budget Project (CBP) engages in independent fiscal and
policy analysis and public education with the goal of improving public
policies affecting the economic and social well-being of low and middle
income Californians. Foundation grants and individual donations and subscriptions
provide general operating support for the California Budget Project.

Management Trainee Program
Miami-Dade County Management
Trainee Program is accepting applications for 2001-2002. Under the
program, recent recipients of Masters Degrees in Public Administration
or related fields are afforded the opportunity to gain hands-on managerial
experience through a year-long rotational internship program. Applicants
must have completed a Master's Degree in Public Administration or related
field by July 1, 2001. The final date for submitting required information
is Friday, March 16, 2001.
