Below is a great opportunity to earn money and possibly do

Prof. Ramon Borges-Mendez from UMass/Boston sent this message to Rob.
" I am a professor at the PhD Program in Public Policy at UMass/Boston.
I recently joined their faculty after working in Latin America and teaching
for the last four years at Johns Hopkins. Currently, I am working on
a small research project for the Brookings on the prospects of regionalism
and workforce development under the WIA. Specifically this (is for)
the Center on Urban and Metropolitan Policy. Together with Edwin Melendez,
Director of the Community Development Research Center and Professor
at the New School Univ. we are doing three case studies: Pittsburgh's
Three Rivers WIB; Sacramento's SETA; and JobWorks, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
"I am writing because we are urgently looking for a research assistant in Sacramento (or nearby) with good knowledge of the area and workforce/ economic development/ public policy/regional development. This person would help us with setting appointments for interviews, coordination, researching secondary materials, web pages. Ideally, this person could also help us summarizing data and interviews, and producing a first draft of the case. Usually graduate students or junior researchers fit the profile. We use the payscale at the New School. Depending on qualifications we pay $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, plus research/travel expenditures. Depending on performance, we also include a bonus at the end of the job. If you have any candidates please feel free to give them my address, and they could send me their resume and sample of writing."
