Transportation Seminar Scholarship
The Sacramento Chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar
(WTS) is offering scholarship opportunities for women pursuing a Bachelor or Master's
Degree and who are interested in working in a transportation related field. See

2004-2005
ROBERT BOSCH FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The Robert Bosch Foundation
Fellowship Program is accepting applications from individuals interested in
participating in the 2004-2005 Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program.
This nine-month work/study fellowship program enables 20 outstanding young
American professionals and "future leaders" to acquire a high-level,
in-depth understanding of the political, economic, and cultural environment
of Germany and the European Union. From September 2004 through May 2005, the Fellows
will complete two executive-level internships -- three months with a federal
or regional government institution, and a five-month placement in private
industry or mass media. In addition, Fellows participate in a variety of seminars
focusing on contemporary German and European issues with top-level elected
officials, as well as leading representatives from industry, media, and academia,
in Berlin, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
Applicants should be between the ages of 23 and 34 and should possess a graduate
degree and/or two years of professional experience in one of the following
fields: Public Affairs/Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration,
Economics, Journalism/Mass Communications, or Law. German language competency
is required at the start of the program; if needed, intensive German training
will be provided prior to the September 2004. Applications are available

Students with an interest in national security
might consider applying for the David
Boren Graduate Fellowships. The Fellowships provide support for understanding
languages and culture critical to national security policy.
