Chicano-Latino Youth Leadership Project
The CLYLP is a non-profit and non-partisan organization dedicated to the development and achievement of California's youth. The leadership conference fosters youth development through cultural presentations, interactive workshops, mock legislative hearings, and panel discussions with Latino role models.

The CLYLP is seeking an Executive Director to manage all operations. Responsibilities include managing and planning fundraising events including the annual week long youth leadership conference, preparing grant proposals, solicit in-kind contributions and developing additional fundraising strategies. Other responsibilities are preparing and disseminating all materials necessary for recruitment and selection of conference participants and staff. Planning and scheduling conference activities, and completing all logistic tasks including execution of housing, food, and transportation contracts for 140 high school students. Managing and coordinating volunteer committees, including those assigned to the conference program, selection of participants, and the conference banquet. Additional duties will include planning and operation of activities for conference alumni, staff support to the Board of Directors, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and filing of CLYLP tax returns.

Qualifications include strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with superior attention to detail. A Bachelor's degree, ability to work independently, and computer skills. Fundraising experience is highly desirable. Experience in working with youth from underrepresented ethnic groups, and familiarity with the Chicano-Latino Youth Leadership Project preferred. Fluency in Spanish is desirable. A valid California Driver License and a back ground check will also be required.

Clinical Services Section(CSS)
The CSS is looking for someone interested in a position for one of their contracts. This is to be CSS staff assistant, administrative assistant to help with documents, scheduling, coordination, and basic clerical functions. Qualifications include basic computer skills, excellent communication and organizational skills and a sense of humor. Also a background in Health is desirable.

This is a temporary or short term position while the organization goes through official hiring procedures. The search for someone is thus informal, through contacts and connections. This person would also be eligible to apply through that process and thus may be continued on as a permanent employee.

Environmental Council of Sacramento
The ECOS is seeking a Project Director for key Sacramento regional environmental advocacy organization. This council is a 30-year old volunteer based organization that focuses on land use, transportation and open space issues in the Greater Sacramento Region through public policy advocacy, education, and community organizing. ECOS is primarily a coalition of 12 organizations including Sierra Club and the Audubon Society. It has a core group of very knowledgeable volunteers.

Recently they have engaged in a part-time administrative assistant independent contractor. This advertised position above will be the first time a full-time employee position is considered. Responsibilities for the initial 18 months will include implementation of a project funded by Irvine Foundation involving community outreach and education for a regional land use visioning project involving the regional Metropolitan Planning Organization. The priorities for the position will be community organizing including cooperation with and support to local and neighborhood partners, marketing of the organization and its goals, volunteer coordination and training, and fundraising management.
