Government Finance Officers Association
The following scholarships programs are offered annually through the GFOA.

Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship
of $5000 is awarded to a graduate student who is enrolled in full-time master's study preparing for a career in state and local government finance. The winner of the scholarship is invited to attend the Government Finance Officers Association's annual conference, where the the award is presented. For an application please visit the Forms site.

Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship of $5,000 is awarded to an upper-divsion undergraduate or graduate student of public administration, (government) accounting, finance, political science, economics, or business administration (with specific focus on government or nonprofit management). The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize outstanding performance by minority students preparing for careers in state and local government finance. Public Employee Retirement Research and Administration Scholarship of $4,000 is available for award to a graduate student in public administration, finance, business administration, or social sciences. The purpose of this scholarship is to support the studies of a full- or part-time graduate student preparing for a career in the field of public-sector retirement benefits. Annual Frank Figueroa Memorial Scholarship in Public Administration
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize and support excellence in the public service by awarding a stipend to a graduate student pursuing a Masters of Public Administration. The amount is $2000 for the 2003-2004 academic year. To be eligible one most hold a Baccalaureate degree and enrolled in an MPA program at an accredited institution in California, Arizona, Nevada or Hawaii. To apply, please submit a curriculum vitae and a 500 word essay "Why I Am Committed to a Career in Public Service" to:
