Technical Assistance Specialist IV
POSITION OPENING(S) – 2 half-time or 1 full-time

The Center for Civic Partnerships, based in Sacramento, has two half-time openings or one full-time opening to work with communities and nonprofit organizations, statewide. Provide training and individualized technical assistance (on-site and distance) on planning, implementation, evaluation and sustainability. Participate in the planning of, and assist with, a statewide conference. Work independently to research, develop and disseminate resources and tools. Assist with various aspects of a membership program; recruitment and selection of program participants; and development of reports and publications. Perform other duties as assigned. The openings are with the following programs: Organizational Development Services (Dept. 32A) and California Healthy Cities and Communities (Dept. 32B).

Requirements: Master’s degree in community/organizational development, public health education, nonprofit management, planning/administration or related field. Five years of experience preferred providing technical assistance or organizational development support to community based-programs and/or experience in nonprofit management. Knowledge and skills in adult learning techniques, community health promotion, sustainability, collaboration, community building and/or public policy. Exceptional communication skills; expertise with electronic communications, including the World Wide Web. Positions also require extensive travel in California, use of own car, valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance. Starting salary $1,899 per month half-time DOE plus a comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants seeking full-time employment may apply for both openings, which would be combined for a starting salary of $3,798 per month full-time DOE plus a comprehensive benefits package.
