Sacramento River Cats Game
Hi everybody. Jose Henriquez, our alumni chapter president, and I would
like to invite you to a PPA social event: an evening (7:00 p.m.) Sacramento
River Cats game on Saturday, June 5. This is a chance for us to
get together outside of work in a relaxed setting. It's also a good
event for families, not the least of the reasons being that after the
game there will be the traditional summer Saturday evening fireworks
show. I'm not revealing much to say that my boys will probably look
forward to the fireworks as much or more than the game itself.
Please let me know if you'd be able to make this event and how many would be in your party. We need to hear from you by Friday, May 14. We'll then contact the River Cats box office people and arrange to have the appropriate number of tickets for our group; we plan to collect money in the week of May 17. The cost will be $17 per ticket: since this may be the only game some of us attend this summer Jose and I decided it would be appropriate to opt for the higher end tickets which should lead to the most comfortable experience.
One additional note: we've had a couple problems lately with events in which we didn't get the turn-out we anticipated, so we would really appreciate people giving firm commitments.

Rick Wallinder, MPPA 1996. "I have been executive officer of the Physician Assistant Committee for the past 3 1/2 years. I'm thrilled to be in a position where I can actually have an impact on public policy!
"After surviving a heart attack a few years ago, I have also become a spokesperson for both Mercy Hospital and the American Heart Association."
