San Joaquin Air Fair - You're Invited!!
What: San Joaquin Air Fair
When: Thurs., Oct. 14 from 10 am - Noon
Where: California State University, Sacramento
Who: Leading Governmental, Business, Health, Environmental and Civic Leaders (as well as exhibitors with the latest "spare the air" technology)

The Maddy Institute at California State University, Fresno, together with Operation Clean Air and Valley Clean Air Now, would like to let you know about an upcoming"Air Fair" we are hosting at California State University, Sacramento on Thurs., Oct. 14 from 10 am to Noon.

We have brought together some of the leading business, government, health and environmental leaders to talk with students and faculty about how we can address our Air Quality problem.

One of the neat things for students/faculty/staff is that we are going to have a raffle for "spare-the-air" gifts like bikes, bus passes, free auto tune-ups, etc.

All students/faculty/staff have to do is attend the discussion to be eligible to walk away (pun intended!) with a new bike, bus passes, free auto tune-ups, etc.

This is a great way for students to not only learn how to help clean our air, but also get excited about ways to "spare the air."

Democracy Matters
Dear CSUS Public Policy and Administration Faculty,

My name is Alex Barrios and I am the campus coordinator/president for a new club on campus named Democracy Matters. I am writing to invite all of your students to join Democracy Matters this school year.

Democracy Matters is a national nonpartisan organization made up of students and faculty who are concerned about the state of our democracy. Our organization's main goal is to spark political discussions among students and faculty on the issue of campaign finance reform. Students are educated about the role of private money in politics and then utilized to conduct awareness campaigns on campus and in the community.

I would appreciate it if you would be kind enough to pass this information on to your students. I have attached a flier to this email that you can post in your classroom for any students who are interested. Please email me if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Alex Barrios
