An Inconvenient Truth
University Union UNIQUE Programs, in association with Associated Students, the Democracy Project, and Student Activities, is pleased to present the global warming documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” this Thursday, Sept 21 at the University Union Ballroom. Screenings take place at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm, 4:30 pm, and 7 pm, with noon and 8:40 pm panel discussions to follow the first and last screenings of the day.
The Office of Research Administration and the Office of Graduate Studies are pleased to present the fall 2006 live webcast series on Research Methods and Analysis
In collaboration with the Center for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis (CARMA) at Virginia Commonwealth University, we are offering this program at no-cost to allow faculty and students the opportunity to hear the latest methodological developments relevant to their research. For many faculty and students, learning about research methods is challenging, and watching and listening to an expert who can present information in an understandable form is a valuable learning aid.
The presentations in the series will emphasize the substantive application of methodological developments and can supplement the education that occurs in traditional courses. Viewing these live webcasts is also an important community building activity for the campus community of scholars and scholars-in-training. Each Friday presentation will be held in Room 11 of the Library. Coffee and muffins will always be available 30 minutes prior.
For more information and to RSVP (required), please contact Sonya Lovine at 278-3668 or lovinesd@csus.edu. This series is free and open to all faculty and registered students of the University. Off-campus participants may attend at no cost as well, but only if registered in advance.
