DIRECTOR'S CORNER
As for this month's newsletter, anyone in the market for a student job or internship is in luck. We are heavy on internship news this time around. We have internships from these groups to choose from: the Presidential Management Intern Program, City of Sacramento Department of Parks and Recreation, and The California Budget Project. Also check for a more extensive listing of programs and opportunities on our Student Jobs/Internships page. Also, the Anne Rudin Scholarship from the League of Women voters is announced in the scholarships page. Our MPPA applicant won this award last yearand we'd like to keep the winning MPPA streak going again this year. Send in those applications and inquiries! Finally, while I know that you're busy this time of the year working on term papers, PowerPoint presentations, and draft thesis chapters, don't forget to take a little time off, and enjoy yourself on October 31st. Have a Happy Halloween, Bob Waste We welcome your contributions to the Communicator! Make announcements, share your good news, reflect on your academic and professional achievements, or submit an article. Contact the Director, Bob Waste, or the Department Secretary, Suzi Byrd, (916) 278-6557, in the PPA Department Office. |
